A Vision for Transparency, Accountability, and Prosperity
Since moving to Los Alamos in 2013 as a student, I have been fortunate to build a life here as a husband, father, computer scientist, and entrepreneur. I dedicate my free time to outdoor activities, youth STEM education and sports, and various community and public service initiatives. My aspiration as a Councilor is to foster a more transparent, accountable, and affordable Los Alamos for all residents. I believe that an informed and engaged community is the cornerstone of effective local government.
My top priority will be enhancing government transparency and accountability. Trust in our local government depends on the public’s ability to see how tax dollars are spent and understand the impact of those investments on our community. I advocate for modernizing how the County monitors, measures, and reports its spending and impacts, ensuring that this data is both readily available and easily accessible. By doing so, I aim to empower residents with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions and engage more effectively in local governance.
I also recognize that the high cost of living and doing business in Los Alamos is a problem. I am committed to making it more affordable for people to live and operate businesses here. To achieve this, I will support expanding development options, reducing bureaucratic hurdles, and streamlining approval processes. By making it easier and more affordable to build, I believe we can cultivate a more diverse and prosperous community.
I strongly believe that innovation and efficiency are key drivers of prosperity. I am dedicated to ensuring our government fosters competitive and equitable economic opportunities where these principles can thrive. My vision for Los Alamos is one where small businesses have the opportunity to grow and succeed in an environment that encourages creativity and enterprise.
Over the years, I have shown my commitment to our community through honest work and volunteer efforts. In addition to my roles as a husband, father, employee, business owner, youth STEM mentor, and rugby coach, I currently serve on the Los Alamos County Parks & Recreation and Personnel Boards, as well as on the boards of three local community organizations. I believe these experiences have equipped me with the dedication and vision necessary to lead Los Alamos toward a more prosperous future. If elected, I will put these responsibilities aside to focus on serving as an effective Councilor.
